Located in Levent, Istanbul, one of the city’s most affluent districts, this mixed-use development responds to the area’s contrasting urban fabric, where towering skyscrapers meet lowrise residential neighborhoods. The project’s design mediates this sharp transition by introducing a gradual height integration, ensuring a seamless relationship between the existing cityscape and the new development.
The project capitalizes on high-density urban opportunities by activating commercial spaces at the street level, encouraging foot traffic and urban engagement. The development promotes a luxurious yet community-centered environment, balancing residential, office, and commercial ions while addressing Istanbul’s lack of green spaces through integrated terraces.
The design follows a modular approach, allowing for a flexible arrangement of open and closed spaces. The stepped masses and terraces naturally create semi-enclosed outdoor areas, integrating with their respective functions. Cafés and restaurants extend into open plazas, while residential units benefit from private terraces that enhance livability. Similarly, offices incorporate outdoor breakout spaces, promoting a dynamic and engaging work environment.
At a city scale, the open terraces and plazas contribute to a more porous and inviting urban fabric, breaking away from the rigid density of high-rise developments. This strategy not only provides much-needed greenery in an area dominated by concrete but also enhances the relationship between architecture and the surrounding context, promoting a more livable and engaging urban landscape.

The dual-column detail not only accommodates the necessary expansion joint for structural integrity but also introduces a refined aesthetic rhythm, blending functionality with design expression

The design emphasizes the interaction of light and shadow, enhancing spatial experience through dynamic patterns that shift throughout the day. On the left, the perforated façade filters sunlight, creating an ever-changing play of shadows along the corridor, enriching sensory perception.
