Situated along the coastline of Famagusta, the Marine Conservation Awareness Center serves as a research hub and educational facility dedicated to the study and preservation of marine
ecosystems. The design concept takes inspiration from the ocean’s layered ecosystem, with the built structure metaphorically representing a
section of the sea—where floating forms, organic pathways, and structural elements mimic marine life and underwater vegetation.
This elevated structure hosts research labs, teaching spaces, a library, workshops, and a
conference hall, fostering innovation in marine
conservation. Beyond functionality, the project aims to raise awareness of ocean degradation and propose climatic interventions to mitigate rising sea temperatures.
