In this design-build workshop, I joined a team of ten architecture students led by Prof. Dr. Charlie Hailey to create an interactive wooden installation for a local middle school. The design process was guided by solar orientation, user interaction, and the experiential qualities of light and shade. I contributed to concept development and took part in hands-on construction tasks, including wood cutting, component preparation, and the on-site assembly of planter-integrated seating modules. The project embodied principles of public interest design by transforming user needs into a functional and educational space that encouraged both interaction and awareness.
